Investigation Details

National officials announced that the UPS cargo plane’s left wing caught fire and an engine separated shortly after departure from the aviation hub, resulting in the plane to fall and explode into a blaze.

The NTSB has said it is probing the jet’s service record, which was in Texas for repairs weeks prior to the incident.

Flight tracking records indicated the aircraft was on the runway in that location from early September to last week.

“We are knowledgeable that this plane was located in that city,” stated an investigator on later, without providing a specific time frame. “We will review every piece of maintenance that was completed, even the Texas period, all the way to the date of the journey.”

Findings of Critical Components

The audio device and flight data recorder were found, and the power plant was found on the runway.

The units – called data containers – were constructed to survive collision damage and severe heat from infernos, and they appeared to be intact when located amid the wreckage. Investigators plan on reviewing data from the black boxes.

Jet’s concluding data recordings displayed an elevation of 475 ft and a velocity of that speed before the crash.

Maintenance Record

According to FAA records dated last month, a fracture on a part inside the fuel container required maintenance.

Headquartered in Singapore ST Engineering, which indicated it supplies aircraft servicing for the company’s aircraft and manages a maintenance center in San Antonio, chose not to comment, but stated it would work closely when relevant authorities approached it.

A candlelight vigil was conducted on the evening of recently by the area Teamsters Union, which acts for staff at the Louisville airport, the firm’s largest freight center.

The union chapter, which supports UPS workers, began the vigil with a quiet tribute at that time, the estimated time of the crash two days earlier.
